This site was built to facilitate the process of finding resources anywhere in the world. In the first phase of our release, we will enable companies and individuals to post their profile online and anyone looking for specific skills to complete a project will be able to choose the resources he/she would like to engage. The length of an engagement can last from a couple of days to a couple of years, depending on the projects.

If you want to supplement your income by working on part-time projects or if you want to use the system to find full-time work, you can post your profile online and based on your qualifications, experiences and performance ratings, the automatic search engine will match your offering with the requirements posted by the customer. You could be a full-time programmer during the day and you can supplement your income by offering book keeping after working hours. Or you can be a dental hygienist during the day and a cabinet maker during the non core hours. Or you can be a civil engineer during the day and a piano teacher after your day job. The possibilities to make extra cash are unlimited. All you need is an account with RentAResource and post all your talents and experiences online. We will then facilitate the process for companies to find and engage your services.

We use WEB 2.0 technologies and support links to YouTube and FaceBook. Each Service Provider has access to enter his/her profile and provide snap shots of the projects that he/she worked on. From within the profile section, the Service Provider will be able to add live links to his/her YouTube video, FaceBook page, or WordPress Blog. When a Customer reviews the Service Provider profile, he/she will be able to play the YouTube video and access the Service Provider’s FaceBook profile. And if the Service Provider is a blogger, he/she can place links in the profile to display the blogs he/she wants the Customers to see.

RentAResource also use Twitter to notify the RentAResource followers about new opportunities. When a new opportunity is posted on RentAResource, the followers will see the headline of the new opportunity. After receiving the tweet, the Service Provider can log into the RentAResource application and review the requirements for the new opportunity.

Everybody is busy doing more with less these days. RentAResource offer a calendar to each Service Provider to plan their time. A Service Provider can mark the days on the calendar to indicate his/her availability. The Customer can then rearrange the work schedule to fit the Service Provider’s availability. This feature will be beneficial to both the Service Provider and the Customer to plan for work.

Anonymity is kept throughout the bidding period between the Service Provider and the Customer. Email exchanged between the stakeholders will be initiated from the RentAResource internal email accounts. The anonymous bidding process is in place to make sure that the Customer is not solicited during and after the bidding process. But once the Customer selects the Service Provider and closes the bidding process, the contacts information is exchanged between the Customer and the Selected Service Provider.

At the end of the project, the Customer will be able to rate the Service Provider’s work and write testimonials for the latter. The rating information is used by RentAResource to calculate the average star rate for the Service Provider. The Service Provider will also be able to rate the Customer after the project is over. The Service Provider will also have the option to write a testimonial for the Customer. These ratings information will be very useful for future engagements between Service Providers and Customers.
